Hi-Tech Media Rooms

Hi-Tech Media Rooms We currently have eight Hi-Tech rooms.
Each room is equipped with the following technology:

  • DVD
  • VCR
  • PC
  • Document camera,
  • Wireless and wired microphones
  • Auxiliary panel for laptop
  • Internet
  • Video input

All images are displayed on ceiling mounted LCD’s and/or 52 inch plasma screens.

Student Technology Assistant
The University of Connecticut/Waterbury is looking to hire students to provide support to faculty members who need assistance with educational technology, including Web CT/ Vista and Power Point. Students will both work with assigned faculty on specific projects as well as provide assistance to any faculty member with questions about educational technology.

Candidates for this position should have basic technology skills and will be provided training in order to enhance these skills. Starting hourly wage is $7.80. Students work an average of five hours a week with availability for some evening hours preferred.
