UConn Alumni Association Scholarships

Source: These scholarships are made possible by generous contributions from UConn Alums.

Eligibility: Current, full-time UConn undergraduate students with a minimum 2.3 grade point average. Consideration is given to financial need as well as leadership and character displayed through short essay questions and one letter of recommendation.

Value: 40 scholarships ranging $1,000 - $3,000.

UConn Merit Scholarships

Eligibility: The University of Connecticut offers a broad range of merit scholarship programs rewarding students who have established outstanding academic records and have made significant contributions to their school or community through leadership, service, special talents, and experiences that may enhance our campus environment. need not be strong in all three categories to apply.

School of Business Scholarships

Eligibility: The School of Business at the University of Connecticut offers a variety of scholarships, which may be awarded based on the following criteria: major, GPA, financial need, leadership, volunteerism and semester standing.

Connecticut Community Foundation (formerly the Waterbury Foundation)

Eligibility: The Connecticut Community Foundation administers numerous scholarship funds, primarily for undergraduate studies at an accredited college or univerity. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis with consideration given to academic record, extracurricular activities, work experience, financial need and an essay.

With the exception of the Niedzial, Segur and Sendzimir Funds, the applicant must be a resident of the Foundations 21 town service area: Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott or Woodbury, Connecticut.
