2017 Parent Orientation

The transition from high school to a university environment is challenging, exciting, and sometimes difficult for both students and parents. In order to understand the University, its services and the student’s role in the learning process we have developed a Parent Orientation Program.

The Parent Orientation Program will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 7-8:30PM.

2017 Director’s Scholarship

The Waterbury Campus is pleased to announce up to two $1,000.00 Director’s Scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year for returning undergraduates.

The criteria:

    • Must be at least a part-time continuing student at the Waterbury Campus (incoming students are not eligible) for both the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters.
    • Must have a minimum overall grade point average as of Spring 2017 of a 2.5.
    • Must have a FAFSA form on file with the University as of July 1, 2017.
    • Demonstrate considerable financial need.
    • Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017.

WTBY Campus Off-Campus Housing Database

Off-Campus Student Services is excited to announce that the Off-Campus Housing Database now serves the Hartford Campus area and Waterbury Campus area. Students, faculty, and staff attending regional campuses will be able to utilize our database to search for off-campus housing. Visit to start your search! NewHusky Orientation Registration

If you have been accepted to the University of Connecticut and will be attending the Waterbury campus for the fall 2017 semester, the New Student Orientation Program is designed for you.  

Sessions begin in mid/late May and end in mid-August.  Space in each session is limited, so it is recommended you sign up early!

Orientation is MANDATORY – If this is your first time as a degree seeking student at UConn Waterbury you are required to attend Orientation in order to register for classes.

Orientation for incoming students at the University of Connecticut’s Waterbury Campus will require you to attend a one day session from 9:00-3:30pm.  These sessions are for students only.

Be sure that you read this page in its entirety carefully.  You should also be sure to complete all items included on the new student checklist.
