Bookstore (UConn Co-op)
The campus bookstore is known as the UConn Co-op and is located on the ground floor of the new downtown campus at 99 East Main Street.
The UConn Co-op is a not for profit co-operative corporation that is owned by the students, staff, faculty and alumni of the University of Connecticut. The Co-op sells all the course materials for UConn classes--which includes new and used textbooks (when available), notebooks, supplies, reference materials, gift cards, a selection of general books, greeting cards and a large selection of UConn clothing and gift items in our Husky Shop. We carry iPods, flash drives and have Apple and PC computers and software available for purchase at academic pricing. We are the UConn Waterbury source for snacks, drinks and meals on the go - stop by and check out our growing and evolving selection. The Co-op is open to the public. Use your PeopleSoft Number (which is your registration ID Number) when making purchases at any of our locations. Your purchases may be eligible for a rebate at the end of the fiscal year determined by how much you spend.
REFUND/RETURNS:
- Register receipt is required for a refund or exchange.
- Return dates are printed on the bottom of the receipt.
- USED BOOKS returned on or before TWO WEEKS from the first day of classes.
- NEW BOOKS returned on or before THREE WEEKS from the first day of classes.
- There are no refunds for books purchased after the initial returns period. Your best option at that point is to sell them back during buyback during finals, as mentioned below.
USED TEXTBOOKS:
Used books are sold on a first come basis, priced 25% less than new books!
TITLES & PRICES:
While it is impossible to give textbook titles and prices on an individual basis, we are estimating your textbooks for the coming fall semester will cost between $150-200 per course. This is a conservative estimate. Book prices for many classes are significantly less. Please have the course name and number (for example, ANTH 1000-31 OR ENGL 1010-33) handy when you come to the bookstore to purchase your books.
METHOD OF PAYMENT: We accept cash, check, Husky Bucks, MC, Visa, AMEX & Discover.
A current driver's license is required for either of the following:
- Checks from your personal checking account must be made payable to UConn Co-op.
- If you have a check given to you from someone else, the check must be made payable to you (the bearer). You will
then endorse the check to the Uconn Co-op.
If you have any other questions, please call the Co-op at (203) 236-9872.
