Financial Aid Information

It is important to have all of your financial aid paperwork in order for timely crediting of financial aid to your account. To help speed along the process, please read the following:

  1. Financial aid award packages for new students for the 2009-2010 academic year have been issued electronically. Students will not receive paper award letters. Students must log into the Student Administration System (SA System) to accept or decline awards. To log in, you will need your 7-digit Student ID, which is found in the top right hand corner of your admissions notification letter, and your password. Your initial password is a capital 'W' followed by your birth date in the MMDDYY format and finished with an exclamation point (WMMDDYY!).
    1. Click on Self Service
    2. Click on Campus Finances
    3. Click on View Financial Aid

[PLEASE NOTE: The Office of Student Financial Aid Services uses HuskyMail, the University's student email system, to communicate with students regarding their financial aid status.]
  2. If your financial aid award amounts (excluding Work-Study) do not cover your University fee bill, you are responsible for paying the difference no later than August 1st. The University has a payment plan. Click here for information on the University of Connecticut Installment payment option. You can also click here for a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the plan.
  3. Should you need additional resources to meet your educational expenses, the University participates in a variety of alternative loan and tuition payment plan programs. To access this information, click on the University's Financial Aid website. You may also contact the Office of Student Financial Aid Services at 860-486-2819 for more information.

Financial Aid for all UConn students is processed at Storrs. However, should you need additional assistance, you may contact Kit Casey at the UConn Waterbury campus Business Office at kit.casey@uconn.edu or (203) 236-9829.

You can STILL apply for financial aid for the 2009-2010 academic year! To apply online, click here and follow the steps.
