Parent Orientation Information
The transition
from high school to a university environment is challenging, exciting,
and sometimes difficult for both student and parents. In order to better understand the
University of Connecticut at Waterbury, its services and the student's
role in the learning process we have developed a Parent Orientation
Program.
Parent Orientation will be held on Thursday, September
4, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. --
8:30 p.m.
The Program is designed
to:
-
familiarize you with the University of Connecticut Waterbury Campus
- address the questions, concerns and anxieties that
you may have regarding your son or daughter's transition from high school to college
- provide you with the opportunity to learn more about UConn and the experience that awaits your
son or daughter as a new student
Participation in the program will help assist with
your son or daughter's transition to the University of Connecticut Waterbury Campus.
I strongly encourage you to participate in the Parent Orientation
Program. Please complete the following form, whether you are planning
to attend or not, by Friday, August 22, 2008. If you have any questions,
I can be contacted at Stuart.Brown@uconn.edu or at 203-236-9847. For
