Campus Safety
The UConn Police Department Waterbury Substation is located on the ground floor of the UConn Campus Building. Police Officers are responsible for public safety in the main building as well as an attached parking facility.In addition to normal police patrols there are emergency phones and remote cameras throughout the facility which assist police in providing a safe atmosphere within which students, staff, faculty and visitors may pursue their educational goals.

Emergency blue phones are located throughout campus and in the parking garage. In case of an emergency: simply press the button, describe your problem to the dispatcher, a police officer will be dispatched to assist you.
Duties & Services
In addition to patrolling the UConn Waterbury campus to keep our community safe, we offer the following services:
Medical Assistance
There is no nurse, physician, or health center on the Waterbury campus. However, officers are trained as emergency medical responders and will provide medical assistance should the need arise.
Programming
Requests for safety presentations, student events, and special community events can be made through UConn Public Safety’s Community Outreach unit.
Campus Safety Report
Universities are required to publish annual reports of incidents on campuses.
Parking
Parking permits, services, regulations, and enforcement at UConn Waterbury are controlled by UConn Parking Services.
